In November 2021, Xavi took over as the manager of Barcelona, succeeding Ronald Koeman. Under his leadership, the team clinched the La Liga title and the Spanish Super Cup during the 2022–23 season. However, they couldn’t maintain this level of success in the subsequent season. Consequently, the Barcelona board decided to let Xavi go in early May and introduced Hansi Flick, the ex-Germany manager, as his replacement.
