New Delhi: Team India skipper Rohit Sharma returned to his home in Mumbai after successfully sealing the Test series against Bangladesh 2-0. Registering an emphatic victory in Kanpur within just three days of play, Rohit shone for his captaincy skills in taking the team forward. With his homecoming, he continues to rule the hearts of his die hard fans, a moment of which was recently seen during his visit in Karjat.

Rohit, who is equally known for his values towards game and tradition is now making waves for his recent visit to a mass event. Wrapping up the bilateral series, Rohit wasted no time and engaged himself in off-field initiatives as he launched his new cricket academy in Rashin, Karjat in the Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra.

A massive crowd flocked to the event venue to catch a glimpse of the World Cup-winning hero. The event also saw dignitaries such as Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) president Rohit Pawar and the fans went crazy with continued applause for Rohit.

What left the crowd present and the social media users spellbound was Rohit taking a brief pause from the celebrations as he took his shoes off and went on to pay his respects to all the Maratha warriors whose frames were kept on the stage. He then moved towards the statue of the great Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and bowed his head with folded hands to pay tribute to the legendary.
