New Delhi: The historic collaboration between News9’s landmark football talent hunt programme “Indian Tigers and Tigresses” and Sports For All (SFA) has grabbed plenty of eyeballs as Hyderabad kids continue to show huge interest in joining the biggest platform for the young guns to showcase their talent.
TV9 Network recently tied up with SFA, one of the biggest grassroots sports development platforms in India, for the “Indian Tigers and Tigresses” campaign, a one-of-a-kind football campaign that provides a golden opportunity to young boys and girls (age group – 12 to 14 and 15 to 17) across the country.
The groundbreaking initiative of the TV9 Network has joined hands with the best in the business including Bundesliga, DFB-Pokal, India Football Centre, IFI, BVB, and RIESPO among others, to spot the young talent in the country through a world-class scouting network. The winners will be felicitated in Germany in early 2025.
Exhilarating track and field action on Day 8
Day 8 at the SFA Championships 2024 saw action continue across Hyderabad, with Gachibowli Stadium hosting the high-octane second day of Athletics. Exciting events including Boys U-18 1500m, Boys U-16 800m, and Girls U-18 400m finals kicked off a full day of intense track and field action with Sai Nischal Mukkala from The Creek Planet School claiming the gold medal in the Boys U-18 1500m race and Arya Mudhaliyar from Meridian School Madhapur clinching the top prize in the Girls U-16 800m race.
Young athletes gave their all in events like the Long jump and Shot put as M R Navadeep from Sadashiv School Bolaram won the gold medal in Boys U-12 Shot Put with a 3kg shotput throw across the field while Aarvi Vithanala from TNR Excellencia Academy secured the gold in Girls U-12 High Jump.
Besides Athletics, Basketball, Handball, and Volleyball added to the excitement. However, the spotlight of the day was on Speedcubing, which featured young talents racing against the clock in the ultimate test of quick reflexes and strategic thinking.
In the Boys U-10 category, Karthikeya Abhiran Pemmaraju from DAV Public School (Safilguda) won the gold with his 2*2 cube-solving skills whereas Yudhira Manchem from The Future Kid’s School (Puppal Guda) secured the gold in the Girls U-10 3*3 cube category.
The parents came out in numbers to cheer their kids from the stands as the young geniuses focused on attaining the perfect balance between strategy and speed.
Meanwhile, Football action continued at Lal Bahadur Shastri Stadium as U-16 Boys’ teams competed fiercely in Round 3 and at Sri Kotla Vijaya Bhaskar Reddy Stadium, Badminton U-17 Girls’ doubles reached the quarter-finals, while Kabaddi Boys U-14 kicked-off Round 1 action.
As day 8 comes to a close Vignan’s Bo Tree School maintained their dominant position on the leaderboard, now boasting more than double the points of second-placed DDMS AMS P. Obul Reddy Public School. With just six days remaining, the race for the top spot has intensified.
