New Delhi: Stylish Team India opener Shikhar Dhawan hung his boots on international and domestic cricket on Saturday. After making the announcement on his social media handles, Dhawan remembered his former Team India mates Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, revealing a distinctive quality about each one of them. The troika of Dhawan, Rohit, and Kohli is well-known for their exploits in international cricket.
Dhawan in an interview after his retirement, recalled his time with the current two Indian cricket greats. Skipper Rohit and former skipper Kohli used to share the dressing room with Dhawan till 2022 across formats, specially in white-ball cricket. While the two continue to play for the nation, Dhawan has now permanently left a spot in the Indian cricket team.

In an interview with Hindustan Times, Dhawan talked about Kohli and revealed one of his finest qualities. “Virat Kohli is the most funny in the Indian team. I share a great bond and relationship with him. We have played together from childhood days,” Dhawan told HT. Their on-field presence can still be picturised by every Indian cricket fan as the batters, hailing from Delhi, shone for their nation at a global stage.
