So we walked out. We asked for permission to talk about the status of those who admitted to hospital after the consumption of illicit liquor and the treatment. As many as 183 people were affected and 55 people were reportedly in the tragedy. But the government is keeping calm.”
Demanding CBI inquiry into the incident, Palaniswami said “The number of fatalities has increased because of the wrong information given by the District Collector. The state police investigation will not be correct as the collector has already given the wrong information. We are demanding a CBI investigation as the people will not get justice if the state government investigates.”
