New Delhi: Indian batter Shreyas Iyer is well-known for his exploits on the field, winning his fans’ hearts with his match-winning knocks and agile fielding. Well… he has given them another reason to cheer up as he was recently spotted on the Mumbai streets and notably helped a poor street vendor with a bit of advice. The city of Mumbai is known for housing many notable cricketers, who started their cricketing journey from there – Iyer being one of them.
The Mumbaikar was seen coming out of a salon in Bandra – a posh neigbourhood of Mumbai. As soon as he came out on the street, he was surrounded by the paparazzi and a couple of fans who asked him for an autograph. Iyer was kind enough to sign the bat that a fan got with himself and his jersey as well. But his next gesture stood apart and has been winning hearts all over the internet.
As Iyer walked out of the salon, a poor lady selling some stuff was continuously asking Iyer for help. She was seen beside him at first and followed him to his car. After Iyer signed autographs, he addressed the lady’s demands, first asking her to wait as he sat in his car and asking her not to chew tobacco. He handed her a Rs. 100 note which delighted the vendor and both shook hands after that.
