New Delhi: Thousands of Spanish fans flooded the streets in Madrid to welcome the victorious men’s national football team following their sensational victory at Euro 2024 in Germany. Spain defeated England 2-1 in the final in Berlin on Sunday to claim a record fourth European Championship title. The victorious squad arrived in the Spanish capital on Monday and met with Spain’s King Felipe VI and his family.
Following the royal meeting, the country’s football heroes took part in an open-top bus victory parade as a Sea of red engulfed the streets of Madrid. Thousands of football enthusiasts gathered at Cibeles Square and flocked to the streets to welcome their heroes.
