New Delhi: News9 Corporate Badminton Championship 2025 was organised in Pullela Gopichand Academy in Hyderabad. The tournament has received tremendous response from the employees of major corporate companies across the country. Participants from the various companies have praised the tournament a lot.

News9 Corporate Badminton Championship 2025, organised by the TV9 Group for working professionals across the country, is being held from May 9 to May 11. The tournament has received an overwhelming response from employees of major corporate companies nationwide. Participants from leading firms such as Microsoft, Infosys, Accenture, Dr. Reddy’s, Wipro, Amazon, Genpact, Deloitte, and Capgemini have registered for the event.

Following two days of action at the Pullela Gopichand Academy in Hyderabad, players from companies like Microsoft and Infosys have praised the tournament’s organisation and spirit of competition. Many have even advanced to the knockout rounds. News9 interacted with several participants to gather their views on the experience.

Microsoft, Infosys players react

After participating in the News9 Corporate Badminton Championship 2025, players from various companies shared their experiences and takeaways from the event.

Anurag Bhatt, a specialist programmer from Infosys, expressed his excitement, saying it was a fantastic experience to play at the prestigious Pullela Gopichand Academy. “It’s a different feeling to train and play on the same courts where champions like Saina Nehwal, P. Kashyap, and P.V. Sindhu have trained,” he said.

For Anurag, the tournament wasn’t just about competition but also about building connections. He mentioned that the event gave him a chance to bond with employees from other leading multinational companies like Microsoft, and he even got insights into how professionals from different industries approach their work.

Another player, Pranav Jain from Microsoft, echoed similar sentiments. He praised the top-notch courts and facilities at Gopichand Academy, describing the tournament as one of the best he has ever participated in. “I’ve played in corporate tournaments before, but this one stands out. It’s been organised on a large and professional scale,” he said.

Pranav appreciated not just the quality of the players and the officiating but also the overall management of the event. He added that such tournaments offer a rare opportunity to network with top-level professionals from diverse industries.

Both players emphasised that the experience of competing on courts associated with world-class athletes was truly special, and they hope the tournament becomes an annual affair.

A plethora of talent in the tournament

Fin Market co-founder Srikanth Goteti has also praised the News9 Corporate Badminton Championship. He mentioned everything from the venue to the top-class facilities. According to him, the tournament has showcased a remarkable level of talent over just two days. He added that the sheer number of participating companies and registrations reflects the scale and quality of the event.

Bhumika Srinivas, an engineer at Kollam Company, said that she started playing badminton at the age of 18. She developed an interest in the game while pursuing engineering. After this, she played the game professionally at the state and national level, but her journey changed after COVID. She further said that she has played more than 100 tournaments, but none have matched the experience and standard of this one.
