Suryakumar Yadav bids farewell to Ganpati Bappa, does Visarjan with family – WATCH

New Delhi: Team India batter Suryakumar Yadav, who is a Mumbaikar by all his heart, took part in the city’s one of the major festivals of the year – the Ganesh Chaturthi. He celebrated the Ganeshotsav with his family at his residence as he welcomed two idols of Lord Ganesha at his home during the festival. The festival took off on September 7 and will last till September 17, the day when all the idols of the god will be traditionally immersed.

However, alternate days for Ganpati Visarjan are also observed during the 10-day fest where a person, who has welcomed the idol of the god in his/her home, might opt for an early Visarjan, as per the rituals. Most of the prominent celebrities who host Lord Ganesha in their homes usually perform Visarjan a bit earlier than the traditional date.

Suryakumar, who shared a video of the Ganpati celebrations on his Instagram account on Thursday, also performed Ganpati Visarjan (immersion), which means he hosted a five-day Ganpati. He gave a glimpse of the celebrations to his fans as he was seen performing the Ganpati pooja with his wife Devisha Shetty before bidding farewell to the god, immersing the idol in a flowerful water-filled bucket.
