New Delhi: After leading Team India to a 3-0 victory against Sri Lanka in his first assignment as a full-time T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav is enjoying holidays with his family.

He was adjudged as the player of the series against Sri Lanka. The explosive batter registered a score of 58 and 26 in the first two matches. He also made a crucial impact with the ball in the third T20I.

Suryakumar Yadav’s wife Devisha Shetty shared an adorable picture amid the ongoing international break on Tuesday, August 13. The T20I skipper was seen posing with his wife in a sunflower garden.

After the break, Suryakumar will participate in the Buchi Babu tournament in Tamil Nadu. He will play a match against Jammu and Kashmir on 27 August in Coimbatore.

After the Buchi Babu tournament, Suryakumar will be next in action in the three-match T20I series against Bangladesh, starting on October 6 in Gwalior.

‘Want to play for India in all three formats’: Suryakumar Yadav

The Indian T20I captain recently said that he wants to play for India in all three formats and playing in the Buchi Babu tournament will give him good practice.

“I want to play for India in all three formats. Playing in Buchi Babu will give me good practice for the red-ball tournaments this season” Suryakumar was quoted as saying by the Times of India.

The Mumbai batter has scored 5628 runs in 82 first-class matches at an average of 46.32 with the help of 14 centuries and 29 fifties. He also played one test match for India in Nagpur against Australia and scored only 8 runs on debut.

Suryakumar Yadav also played 37 ODI matches for India and scored 773 runs at an average of 25.76, including four half-centuries. He has been dropped from the ODI side after the 50-over World Cup.

Recently, Indian selector Ajit Agarkar said that the management and BCCI haven’t discussed Suryakumar’s name for the ODI squad as there is some real quality available in the middle order.

“No, we haven’t discussed Surya (for ODIs) at this point. There is some real quality through that middle order. So at this point Surya is a T20I player,” Agarkar said in a press conference.
