Mumbai: Bengaluru has unveiled a monumental addition to its cultural and spiritual heritage—a 72-feet-tall statue of Lord Hanuman at the Ayodhya Kodandarama Temple in Kacharakanahalli, HBR Layout. Standing as the tallest monolith Hanuman statue in the country, this 480-tonne masterpiece is a remarkable symbol of devotion, perseverance, and community effort.
The project, a long-cherished dream of the Sri Rama Chaitanya Vardhini Trust and the residents of 18 former villages in the area, has finally reached a significant milestone. The statue’s inauguration marks the fulfilment of a vision that began decades ago, transforming an idea into an awe-inspiring reality.
The monumental project was spearheaded by the Sri Rama Chaitanya Vardhini Trust in partnership with the residents of 18 local areas, which were previously 18 distinct villages.
