Chennai: Chennai Police Commissioner Sandeep Rai Rathore shunted out. Arun is the new CoP. The Development comes against the backdrop of the recent murder of BSP State president Armstrong in the city. Rathore has been transferred as Director of Police Training College.
AGDP Law and order, A Arun has been appointed as the new Commissioner after the Chennai police Commissioner Sandeep Rai Rathore has been transferred in response to the murder of Bahujan Samaj Party State President Armstrong in Chennai two days ago. Following this, A Arun, who was the law and order ADGP, has now been appointed as the Chennai Police Commissioner. Davidson Devasirwadham has been appointed as the new law and order ADGP. This order has been issued by Tamil Nadu Home Secretary Amuda, IAS.
BJP state president K. Armstorng was hacked to death by a gang of six men, who were disguised as food delivery executives, near a construction site on Venugopalasamy Street, Sembium in Chennai on 6th July. 6 member gang which came in 2 wheelers accosted him & rained blows on him with weapons and fled the scene. The Chennai city has arrested 11 people in connection with BSP leader Armstrong’s murder.
