Chennai: Popular Tamil YouTuber TTF Vasan has been arrested by Madurai police for traffic violations including reckless and talking on a cell phone while driving. Vasan was booked seven sections of the IPC based on a complaint by Manibharathi, Inspector of Police, Madurai Metropolitan Armed Forces – Social Media Division.
According to the complaint, on May 15 around 7.50 pm Vasan was seen driving the car number TN 40 AD 1101 recklessly and carelessly while talking on the cell phone at Vandiyur tollgate area, in a way that endangers the general public’s lives. The act was recorded on the car’s dashboard camera and he later posted on the YouTube channel under the ID “Twin Throttlers’.
Based on the complaint, the Annanagar police, who had registered a case under 7 sections including driving fast, causing an accident on the road, and violating the provisions of the Motor Vehicle Act and have now registered a case of attempted murder of IPC section (308).
Recently, TTF Vasan, driving a car on the highway, released a video for his fans saying that he has made a comeback.
Vasan was arrested in September 2023 for staging a dangerous bike stunt on Chennai- Bengaluru highway, where he performed the stunt to get viwes and likes on his social media, but his act resulted in an accident. Following this, he was arrested by Kanchipuram police and the court cancelled his driving licence temporarily.
