Watch: Mobile repair shop vandalised in Hyderabad; seven arrested

Hyderabad: Seven people were arrested by SR Nagar police after they vandalised a mobile repair shop in Nilgiri Block of Aditya Enclave, Ameerpet area of the city and attacked the shop owner, reports said. Two people were injured in the attack.

The miscreant identified as Akhil, along with his friends attacked the shop owner Nikesh Kumar and his staff, destroyed the equipment in the shop after the shop owner asked him to pay up old dues.

 

The 26-year-old Akhil, who is from Kukatpally, used to bring mobile phones for repair to Nikesh Kumar’s shop and previously had purchased displays for two phones without payment. On Monday, he brought another phone for repair. However, Nikesh Kumar insisted on paying old dues before accepting a new repair, SR Nagar police said.

Akhil got into an argument with the shop owner and thereafter, vandalised the shop with his friends.  In this process, two employees of the shop, Sasikumar and Mukesh Kumar were injured.

A complaint was filed by the shop owner Nikesh Kumar in this matter and a case was registered under Section 190 of the BNS Act along with other Sections 118(1), 324(4), 351(3). Inspector Srinath Reddy of SR Nagar police station said that seven people were arrested and remanded.
