Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy urged Telugu film industry, which wants permissions to hike movie ticket prices, to help the state in preventing drugs and cybercrime.

At an event to inaugurate more vehicles for Telangana State Anti-Narcotics Bureau (TSNAB), he said, “They are coming to us for increasing ticket prices and shooting permissions. Awareness videos should be released with the stars in it before the release of the movie. Only then will the government provide support. I am grateful to megastar Chiranjeevi garu for making one such video for us.”

Speaking at the event, CM Reddy highlighted the rapid spread of cannabis across the state over the last decade. “Ganja can be found for sale in colleges. We have given authorities the rights to control the spread of drugs. Even middle class children are getting addicted to cannabis. Formulate guidelines to give cash reward and promotion to those who excel in cybercrime and drug cases,” he said.
