New Delhi: Jey Uso emerged victorious in the 2025 Men’s Royal Rumble and after his win some fans expressed their disappointment. Rikishi, Jey’s father has been celebrating his victory with pride and thanked the fans for their support amid backlash.

Jey Uso is an American professional wrestler. His victory in the WWE Men’s Royal Rumble proved his brilliant skills and 17 years of experience in his career. Some fans were disappointed after his victory and criticised him, saying that he’s not deserving given that many big WWE superstars, including John Cena, CM Punk, and Roman Reigns, participated with him in the same ring.

Rikishi has been celebrating his son’s Royal Rumble 2025 victory and praised his in-ring skills with pride. During the Off The Top podcast, Rikishi supported his son amid the backlash and said that the wrestler has honed his skills for over 17 years and deserved all the recognition.

“As far as the in-ring skills, the skills are there. If it wasn’t there, to me, I don’t think the kid would be as over as he is right now. The skills have been there for 17 years. What we should take a look at what was the opportunity. The opportunity came, the wrestling universe has spoken. The WWE has heard it and seen it and gave this kid a chance. So at the end of the day, you can rest assured you are not gonna be disappointed when the Yeet Man shows up, does what he does, and you’re gonna watch what happens at YeetMania. So get ready. Yeet” said Rikishi on Off The Top podcast.

Amid all the backlash Jey Uso is focused on his preparations for the upcoming WrestleMania 41. He knows that his dedication and hard work are the reasons behind his victory in the Royal Rumble. He will face Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 41.
