New Delhi: Air India became the first air carrier in India to offer WiFi services on board. The Tata Group airline has rolled out in-flight WiFi on domestic routes effective Wednesday, January 1, 2025. Air India in-flight WiFi will be offered on board Airbus A350 and A321neos as well as Boeing 787 and 789 jets.
Air India in-flight WiFi is available for free during the introductory period.

Air India is offering this feature to everyone whether their needs are real-time sharing or productivity, said Rajesh Dogra, the airline’s chief customer experience officer.

How to access Air India in-flight WiFi
Air India in-flight WiFi can be accessed by passengers on devices that are enabled to connect to WiFi. These include Android and iOS-enabled devices ranging from laptops to tablets and smartphones. Air India in-flight WiFi allows multiple device connections at 10,000 ft altitude. Air India conducted in-flight WiFi trials on Airbus A350, A321 neo and Boeing 787-9 aircraft on long-haul flights to New York, London, Paris and Singapore, according to an official statement.
