Mumbai: The share price of Marico, Voltas, Hindustan Construction Company (HCC), Cipla, REC, Hudco and others are in focus on October 30, 2024. The stocks have been trending high as large number of people seem to be interested in searching for queries related to the mentioned counters.

Meanwhile, the the benchmark equity indices BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty opened lower today. The exchange were dragged down by bank stocks and weak trends in Asian markets. The 30-share Sensex slumped 366.53 points to 80,002.50, while Nifty dropped 129.25 points to 24,337.60.

Marico share price

Marico share price jumped 5 percent to trade at 660.90 per equity share at 9:43 am today. The domestic FMCG major declared its Q2 Results 2024-25 on October 19 and posted a 20.27 per cent increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 433 crore. The company had recorded a net profit of Rs 360 crore in the July-September quarter in 2023-24. According to a regulatory filing, the firm’s consolidated revenue from operations went up 7.6 per cent to Rs 2,664 crore as against Rs 2,476 crore a year ago.

Voltas share price

Voltas share price dropped over 6 percent to 1,658.65 at 9:45 am today. In its second quarter results of 2024-25, Voltas Ltd registered a more than two-fold jump in consolidated net profit to Rs 132.83 crore, as against Rs 35.65 crore in the July-September period in the previous financial year. According to a regulatory filing from the company, the air-conditioning maker and engineering services provider, mentioned that its revenue from operations increased 14.23 per cent to Rs 2,619.11 crore during the second quarter of this fiscal as compared to Rs 2,292.75 crore in the year-ago period. Total expenses surged 10.74 per cent to Rs 2,486.89 crore.

Cipla share price

Cipla reported a 17 per cent increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 1,303 crore in its Q2 Results 2024-25. The pharmaceutical major had recorded a net profit of Rs 1,115 crore in the same quarter of the previous financial year. Cipla’s total income from operations increased to Rs 7,051 crore as against Rs 6,490 crore in 2023-24.

“In Q2 FY25, we recorded a revenue growth of 9 per cent over the last year with a highest-ever EBITDA margin of 26.7 per cent driven by mix and other operational efficiencies,” Cipla MD and Global CEO Umang Vohra said.

HCC share price

The Hindustan Construction Company (HCC) share price jumped over 4 per cent to Rs 39.35 a day after the company declared its Q2 Results of 2024-25 and reported a multi-fold rise in consolidated net profit to Rs 63.93 crore.

However, the consolidated income of the company during the during the September quarter slumped to Rs 1,432.41 crore, as against Rs 1,870.79 crore in the second quarter of 2023-24. In its regulatory filing, the company mentioned that its consolidated expenses declined to Rs 1,350.09 crore. It was Rs 1,862.64 crore a year ago.

HUDCO share price

Housing and Urban Development Corporation Ltd (HUDCO) share price gained over 2 percent to trade at 220.85 at 10:19 am. The company reported a 52 per cent increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 688.62 crore in the second quarter of 2024-25, as compared to Rs 451.65 crore in the Q2 of previous financial year. The techno-financing public sector enterprise stated that its total income increased to Rs 2,526.14 crore in the second quarter of the current fiscal.

REC share price

REC share price declined over 1 percent to Rs 539.65 per equity share at 10:21 am. The stock has given a return of 6 per cent in the last six months and around 93 percent in the past one year. REC is a public sector company which finances and promotes power projects across India.
