New Delhi: UFC President Dana White announced the highly anticipated UFC 308 Fight Card lineup which will take place on October 27, Sunday at Fight Island in Abu Dhabi. This card is one of the best Fight cards this year by UFC.
Ilia Topuria will defend his Featherweight Championship against BMF Champion Max Holloway. Topuria will defend his title for the first time which he won the title bay in February by defeating Alexander Volkanovski. While Max Holloway, known for his stellar performances recently won the UFC BMF title by knocking Justin Gaethje in the last 10 seconds of the match.
Holloway fought in the lightweight division last time against Gaethje but this time he will be competing in the Featherweight division which will be a huge advantage for Holloway. Topuria beat the Featherweight division Champion Volkanovski who was unbeatable for Eight years in the Featherweight division. It will be a gem of a fight in UFC 308.
In the co-main event, fans will embark on the return of Khamzat Chimaev to the UFC after a long year break due to injury and illness. Chimaev will face Robert Whittaker in a middleweight bout. The fight was scheduled for June 22, but Chimaev pulled out from the battle due to illness.
Whittaker is coming from a win against Ikram Aliskerov on short notice. He knocked Ikram in the very first round. The UFC 308 card also features Cyril Gane who will face Alexander Volkov in the heavyweight bout. The winner of the heavyweight bout will challenge for the Interm belt against Tom Aspinall in the future.
