Earlier in the week, Mr. Scindia was also present at a Department of Post event to celebrate Paris Olympics with commemorative postage stamps. Manu Bhaker to be India’s flagbearer for closing ceremony at Paris Olympics
Manu Bhaker displayed great level of mental toughness in the ongoing Paris Olympics, returning with two bronze medals in the women’s 10m air pistol and mixed team 10m air pistol with Sarabjot. She overcame the ghost of Tokyo Olympics three years ago, enduring a gun malfunction, which deterred her chances to qualify for the final.
The Haryana-based shooter has been named as India’s flagbearer at the closing ceremony of Paris Olympics on Sunday (August 11). She will be joined by Indian men’s hockey team goalkeeper PR Sreejesh as the joint-flagbearer. Sreesjesh announced his retirement from field hockey after India won bronze medal in consecutive Olympics on Thursday.
