Coimbatore: In a viral video, a gang stopping a car on the middle of a highway and attacking them with weapons near Coimbatore has taken the internet by storm. The police have arrested four persons from Palakkad who waylaid the car of an Ernakulam native near Madukkarai on the Salem – Kochi highway and attempted to assault them with weapons.

The arrested people were identified as K Sivadas (29), M Vishnu (28), A Rameshbabu (37), and M Ajaykumar (24), all natives of Palakkad in Kerala. Vishnu is an Indian Army Sepoy. Police said, Vishnu had come on leave on June 4 and did not return to work.
