New Delhi: The T20 World Cup 2024 was very emotional for both Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya as Kohli remained out of form in the tournament before the final and Pandya dealt with lots of controversies for the past three months. Both of them played a huge role in the final and helped India beat South Africa by seven runs at Kensington Oval, Bridgetown, Barbados on June 29, Saturday.
After the win, Hardik was seen crying and made a video call to his family while sitting in the middle of the pitch. But the person is still unknown, who he talked with after the game. Fans reacted as the video went viral saying, “Did Hardik’s video call his wife?” Some fans reacted that Hardik video called his mother. There were rumours a few days back that Hardik had parted ways with his wife Natasa Stankovic.
Virat also video-called his wife Anushka Sharma and his kids and he was seen in tears giving flying kisses and making goofy faces during the video call. Kohli also announced his retirement from the T20 international cricket.

India win T20 World Cup 2024
India ended their ICC trophy drought after defeating South Africa by seven runs. India won the toss and elected to bat first but the Proteas bowler troubled the Indian batters early on and India were three wickets down under the powerplay. Kohli and Axar Patel’s partnership took India to a respective total of 176 runs.
In reply, opener Reeza Hendricks and skipper Aiden Markram fell early in the innings but Quinton de Kock and Tristian Stubbs handled the innings with a 50-run stand between them. Heinrich Klassen made an outstanding half-century in just 23 balls but Hardik broke the momentum of the Proteas in the 17th over and ultimately South Africa were seven runs short of the target.
