Amaravati Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) demolished an under construction office building of YSRCP in the early hours of Saturday in Tadepalli region of Andhra Pradesh.
Municipal officials reached the under-construction building around five a.m. on Saturday morning and started demolition with pro-cranes and bulldozers. The municipal authorities demolished the fillers of the building and these actions were taken in the presence of heavily deployed police. The police put up gates to prevent YCP leaders and workers from moving to that area.
Hitting out at TDP, the YSRCP said that the demolition was being carried out against the orders of the High Court and that it was an example of vendetta politics of the government.
The TDP said that the office building was being constructed on illegally occupied boatyard compound. They further said that the CRDA and Mangalagiri Tadepalli Municipal Corporation (MTMC) took action as per law.
