WATCH: Starc reflects on rivalry with Kohli ahead of Border-Gavaskar Trophy

New Delhi: The age-old rivalry between India and Australia that they share in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy will take centre stage starting from November 22 as India will tour down under for five Tests. The series would also bring forth the exciting player rivalry between Virat Kohli and Mitchell Starc, two of the greats from their respective sides who are known to turn things around with their prowess.

Starc recently reminisced about his on-field battles with Kohli that he has had over the years, something that the hardcore Test cricket fans have admired for quite a long time. The ferocious spells of Starc with the red ball breathe fire on the pitch and if missed, the timber surely goes for a cartwheel. Then comes Kohli, who is well-documented for his power hitting, known to take bowlers like Starc and Josh Hazlewood to the cleaners.

In an exclusive chat with Star Sports, Starc reflected on his rivalry with Kohli saying, “I enjoy my battles with Virat Kohli, it’s because we’ve played a lot of cricket against one another. I always have some good battles. I’ve managed to get him out once or twice and he’s no doubt scored a fair few runs against me so it’s always a good contest and one we both enjoy.”
