New Delhi: WWE superstar Randy Orton has been missing from the television programming for the last few months after being attacked on Friday Night SmackDown. Randy Orton is known as one of the most prolific and accomplished superstars of all time.
The Viper has made a strong comeback after his return to WWE in 2023 from a long break. He was attacked by Kevin Owens amidst their feud in November 2024 and had to be carried out of the event on a stretcher. Since then, the fans have not seen Orton on WWE television, but there is a massive update about his return.
Expected timeline for Randy Orton’s WWE return
According to a report by PWInsider, several creative personnel have confirmed Randy Orton’s return date. The WWE superstar is expected to return next month and will be part of the WWE European Tour leading to their premier event, WrestleMania in Las Vegas in April.
In the following report on Fightful’s post-RAW show, Sean Ross Sapp gave his opinion on the return of Randy Orton. He said that Orton has been the “odd man out” in the ongoing heated fight between Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. He also added that WWE wants him to be involved in the road to WrestleMania but has not heard about any concrete plan about his involvement so far.
Sean said that he doesn’t know whether Randy Orton fits right into the Sami Zayn-Kevin Owens thing because he has been sort of the odd man out in his absence. “I know they’ve wanted him involved in WrestleMania, but I haven’t specifically heard anything. So, I’m hopeful that he’s back soon” Sami said.
Randy Orton’s last match happened on SmackDown in October 2024. He teamed up with the undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes to face the team of World Heavyweight Champion Gunther and Ludwig Kaiser. This happened two weeks before Kevin Ownes assaulted Orton, which led to his absence from WWE. Randy Orton has been a crucial part of WrestleMania since his debut in 2002 and fought against some of the biggest names like Triple H, The Undertaker and AJ Styles.
