New Delhi: The Paris Olympics 2024 got underway on Wednesday, July 24 but India will officially begin their campaign on July 25. The 33rd edition of the sporting extravaganza kicked off with two football matches. Argentina locked horns with Morocco in the Group B opener in men’s football while Uzbekistan will take on Spain in the opening game of Group C.
Some rugby matches are also lined up later in the day. No Indian athletes will be in action at the Paris Games on Wednesday as India’s campaign will begin with archery on Thursday. The ranking rounds in archery are slated to begin on July 25 and Indians will be in action in both the men’s and women’s events in the sport.
India’s schedule at Paris Olympics 2024 on July 25
Indian athletes will be in action in the men’s individual ranking round and the women’s individual ranking round in archery on Thursday. Deepika Kumari, one of the most experienced archers in India’s squad and a string medal contender, will begin her campaign in the women’s individual ranking round along with the likes of Ankita Bhakat and Bhajan Kaur.
Tarundeep Rai, Pravin Jadhav and B. Dhiraj will be in action in the men’s individual ranking round. The women’s ranking round will get underway at 1 PM IST while the men’s ranking round will begin at 5 PM IST.
Women’s individual ranking round – Deepika Kumari, Ankita Bhakat, Bhajan Kaur – 1 PM IST
Men’s individual ranking round – B. Dhiraj, Tarundeep Rai, Pravin Jadhav – 5:45 PM IST

When and where to watch Indian athletes in action in the archery individual ranking round at the Paris Olympics on Thursday?
The live telecast of the archery individual ranking rounds at the Paris Olympics 2024 on Thursday will be available on the Sports18 channel in India. The events can be live-streamed on the Jio Cinema app and the website.
The opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics 2024 will be conducted on Friday, July 26. However, no Indian athletes will be in action on the day. The Indian men’s hockey team, shuttles and table tennis players among others will begin their campaign on Friday, July 27.
