Chef Gaggan Anand’s progressive Indian restaurant ‘Gaggan’ in Bangkok making a significant mark once again. The prestigious event took place in Las Vegas on June 6, 2024 (as per IST). ‘Gaggan’ secured the ninth position, marking its second consecutive year on the esteemed list. Additionally, it was named the ‘Best Restaurant in Asia 2024’ by the ‘World’s 50 Best’ social media handle.
“Discover the culinary creative of Gaggan Anand, Kolkata-born chef and former drummer, who brings a rebellious spirit to fine dining,” reads the post, adding, “At Gaggan, progressive Indian cuisine meets French, Thai and Japanese influences in a vibrant, intimate setting. Topping the list this year is Disfrutar from Barcelona, celebrated for its innovative approach to gastronomy under the direction of three visionary chefs Oriol Castro, Eduard Xatruch, and Mateu Casanas. Disfrutar promises diners “an unforgettable culinary journey,” making it a worthy recipient of the number one spot.
