New Delhi: The WWE Royal Rumble battle in 2025 turned out to be one of the greatest traditional Rumble contests in the history of the business. WWE was able to generate an amazing main event with some of the biggest talents in the ring together. There weren’t many surprises throughout the match. But the brutal action ultimately made headlines all across the world. Despite the fact that the fans were ready for a lot more returns and new faces entering the Rumble, both Women’s as well as Men’s Royal Rumble produced a few big surprises with legends returning and new faces also making their presence felt.

Probably one of the most shocking returns was the Phenomenal One’s return after his injury. The 20+ year veteran made his return at number 21 and made quite an impact as he eliminated LA Knight before Logan Paul sneakily eliminated him from behind as he was preparing to hit the Phenomenal forearm. A quite controversial end to his Rumble return as this might spark a storyline between him and Logan Paul in the future with the former WWE champion taking his revenge against the social media mega-star. However, one good news for all the AJ fans was that his old entrance theme song, ‘Phenomenal’ was back and running as he made his way out of the curtains.

TNA World Champion Joe Hendry shocked everyone by showing up for the match and making an impression with a few good techniques before being thoroughly being outclassed by Jacob Fatu. Then, Roman Reigns ended his debut Royal Rumble participation by throwing him out of the ring. There were rumours about him making an appearance in the Rumble and despite a short cameo, fans did enjoy that entrances from one of the top characters from TNA.

Carmelo Hayes became enraged and attacked Akira Tozawa before he could enter; the 39-year-old was escorted backstage. After that, ShowSpeed took his place and assisted Bron Breakker in getting rid of Otis. The celebrity was then thrown out of the ring after being speared by the WWE Intercontinental Champion.

Fans gave WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus a standing ovation for her unexpected arrival and the amazing job she has done over the years. Prior to being eliminated by her friend Nia Jax, Stratus eliminated Candice LeRae in the bout.
