New Delhi: WWE Smackdown’s last episode before SummerSlam 2024 concluded and fans witnessed The Bloodline win the WWE Tag Team Championship on the eve of SummerSlam. Tommaso Ciampa and Tama Tonga started things off, Tonga made the first blood as he hit multiple body shots and some strikes in the corner, but Ciampa then fought back and struck some combinations. Then, The Bloodline team had full control of the match, they were beating the hell out of Ciampa but after some moments Ciampa tagged Gargano and then Gargano came and made some momentum in the game from their side. DIY team was in the dominant position but then The Bloodline member Solo Sikoa entered the match and slammed Tonga with his signature move The Samoan Spike.
Then Fatu took advantage of Sikoa interference gave a superkick and landed the Suicide Dive on Gargano. Then Fatu climbed the ring and gave a double jump moon sault. At last, Fatu implemented DDT to pick up the win and became the new Tag Team World Champion.
The smackdown episode kicks off with a face-off between Cody Rhodes and Solo Sikoa. Sikoa’s teammates The Bloodline also joined the face-off in the opening segment of the episode.
The first match of the night was between Carmelo Hayes vs Andrade El Idolo, where El Idolo pinfall Hayes with a Japanese leg clutch hold to win the fight.
The United States Champion Logan Paul and LA Knight also featured in a faceoff presented by Nick Aldis. Both fighters were hyped up before their match in SummerSlam 2024.
