  • 2 tbsp ragi flour
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk (for savoury) or milk (for sweet)
  • Salt and cumin powder (for savoury) or 1 tbsp jaggery (for sweet)

Instructions:

  1. Mix ragi flour in 1/4 cup water to make a smooth paste.
  2. Boil 3/4 cup water, add the paste, and stir continuously.
  3. Add buttermilk with salt and cumin for savoury.
  4. And for sweetness, add milk and jaggery.
  5. Stir well and serve chilled.

2. Bajra Buttermilk

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp bajra flour
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp roasted cumin powder
  • A few chopped mint leaves

Instructions:

  1. Mix bajra flour in water and boil while stirring to make a smooth, thick paste. Let it cool.
  2. Blend the paste with buttermilk, salt, cumin, and mint.
  3. Serve chilled with ice cubes.

3. Jowar Lemonade

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp jowar flour or cooked jowar grains
  • 1.5 cups water
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp honey or jaggery
  • Mint leaves for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Boil jowar flour in water, stirring to avoid lumps.
  2. Cook for 3–5 minutes and let it cool.
  3. Add lemon juice and sweetener.
  4. Stir or blend until smooth.
  5. Garnish with mint leaves and serve over ice.
