Lahore: Five people died following a violent clash between two groups over a land dispute in Sukkur, Pakistan, according to reports.
Police stated that the conflict stemmed from a longstanding rivalry between the two groups, resulting in an exchange of gunfire.
An official reported that four people from one group were killed, with three dying on the spot and one succumbing to injuries during treatment. One person from the rival group also died in the gunfire, as reported by ARY News.
The official noted that this ongoing land dispute had previously resulted in the deaths of three individuals. Authorities are continuing to investigate the matter, and the bodies of the deceased have been sent to the District Headquarters Hospital for further examination, ARY News reported.
