Madurai, Tamil Nadu: In a shocking incident, a 58-year-old patient was allegedly chased out of Government Rajaji Hospital (GRH) by housekeeping staff after he urinated on the floor due to a lack of assistance. Kattumari, a former cook, was admitted to the hospital after a bike accident left him with severe injuries, including a numb right leg. With no one to care for him, he was forced to crawl out of the hospital by hospital staff and spend two days on the pavement outside a bus stop.

Social Activists Intervene

Fortunately, social activists discovered Kattumari and informed hospital authorities, leading to his readmission.Kattumari alleged verbal abuse and mistreatment by hospital staff, highlighting systemic failures in patient care.

Investigation Demanded

This incident raises concerns about patient treatment and staff behavior, sparking calls for an investigation into the matter. Social activists have demanded strigent punishments aganist the the government hospital staff who are responsible for the inhumane act.
