New Delhi: Raul Rosas Jr. defeated Aoriqileng via unanimous decision at UFC 306 in the Sphere in Paradise, Nevada, part of the Las Vegas Valley, United States on September 15, Sunday. The historic UFC event UFC Noche kicked off with a bang with the 19-year-old dominating the opening fight in the event.
Rosas Jr. started things off with his grappling skills in the first round, taking down Aoriqileng on the ground and trying to submit him. but Aoriqileng escaped from the trap and came back into the fight by hitting some effective strikes at Rosas Jr. In the last round, the quality show was seen from 19 years as he again knocked down Aoriqileng on the ground and dominated the fight from there and won the fight via unanimous decision with a scorecard of 29-28, 29-28, 29-28.
The first knockout of the historic event came from Ignacio Bahahmondes. Bahahmondes TKO the local boy Manuel Torres in front of his packed crowd in the very first round. ‘La Jaula’ used his IQ in the fight by allowing Torres to strike him early but Torres came up shot in which Bahahmondes used the advantage and countered him with a pinpoint right hook and dropped him first time in the fight.
Bahamondes didn’t waste any time and hit multiple punches and dropped him for the second time and got the first knock-out of the event. This is the second consecutive first-round knockout for Bahamondes and will now look to improve his rankings.
Most of the fights in the priliminary card went on to the distance as three fighters won the fight by unanimous decison. While only one TKO has been seen in the event.
