1. John Cena finishing Nexus storyline
John Cena was in his dream run in 2010 as he was the reigning WWE World Champion and Wade Barrett led the Nexus group making an unexpected
appearance in the WWE. Barrett came with five of NXT’s rising stars and attacked Cena.
Cena and Nexus feuding then started and it involved many big WWE stars as well. WWE SummerSlam 2010 was one of the great pay-per-view of WWE as many stars came together to challenge Nexus in the main event of SummerSlam 2010.
Bret Hart, Chris Jericho, Edge, Daniel Bryan, and Randy Orton joined Cena and beat Nexus at the SummerSlam 2010. Edge and Jericho were considering losing the match and tried to talk with Cena also.
Ultimately, Cena won the match and ended the Nexus winning momentum. After the loss, Nexus members exited the team and started their singles run.
2. WWE wasted WCW and ECW’s storyline
WWE owner Vin McMahon bought WCW in 2001 and a couple of months later McMahon purchased ECW also. McMahon had the opportunity to team up with WCW and ECW to take on WWE.
But McMahon chose the WWE vs WCW storyline and it got more complicated when WWE started shifting every fighter on the heel side.
3. Vince McMahon’s fake death
Vince McMahon made a storyline on his fake death as when he entered the limousine it exploded and the main angle of the story was ‘who kills the boss’.
A WWE star Chris Benoit was charged with a double murder case which shocked everyone and McMahon dropped the storyline after one week due to real real-life issue.
