New Delhi: Israel Adesanya suffered a loss on his comeback in the UFC, he was defeated by UFC middleweight Champion Dricus Du Plessis at UFC 305 in Perth, Australia on August 17. Du Plessis submitted Izzy in the fourth round and retained his title. But after UFC 305, Izzy former foe UFC Light heavyweight Champion Alex Periera speculated an injury to Izzy ahead of his main event.
Pereira observed a leg injury as Izzy’s signature move in the fight was his dangerous leg kicks but Izzy didn’t use his leg kicks much in the fight. Adesanya’s low-leg kicks might produce some problems for Du Plessis in the fight. Pereira also said that it became an easy night for Du Plessis due to the lack of kicks from Izzy in the bout.
Pereira fought four times with Adesanya in his professional career and he knew much more about Izzy’s fighting skills. Pereira talked about kicks of Adesanya are much more dangerous than anyone else thinks of. Izzy didn’t fight to his full potential according to the Brazilian.

After Pereira’s Analysis, Adesanya reacted to the analysis and hinted as if it could be accurate. Izzy also praised Pereira, both of them spent hours studying each other fighting style and moves as both fought multiple times against each other. Pereira has an upper hand in the rivalry as he is 3-1 in the fights between both of them. Pereira defeated Izzy twice in the kickboxing event but when both transitioned to MMA, both shared a 1-1 record in the UFC.
