BCCI announce jam-packed schedule for 2024-25 home season: India to host Bangladesh, New Zealand

New Delhi: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Thursday announced a packed home calendar for Team India for the 2024-25 home season. India will play five Test matches at home in the ongoing World Test Championship (WTC) cycle before heading Down Under to take on Australia in the five-match Test series in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

India will host Bangladesh in a two-match Test series at home followed by a three-match Test series against New Zealand. The two-match Test series against Bangladesh will get underway on September 19 with the first Test at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. The second Test will be played in Kanpur from September 27.

The three-match T20I series against Bangladesh will kick off on October 06 with the first game in Dharamshala followed by the second game at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. The third T20I will be played at Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.

After Bangladesh, New Zealand will travel to India for a three-match Test series in October. The first Test will be played in Bengaluru from October 16 followed by the next two Test matches in Pune and Mumbai.

England’s white-ball tour of India in 2025

After a gruelling Test season where they will play Bangladesh and New Zealand at home followed by the Australia Test series Down Under, India will host England in a full-fledged white-ball series in January next year. England will play five T20Is against India followed by three ODIs.

The T20I series between India and England will get underway from January 22 with the series opener in Chennai. The 2nd game will be played at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata followed by the next three T20Is Rajkot, Pune and Mumbai. The three-match ODI series will kick off in Nagpur on Thursday followed by the next two matches in Cuttack and Ahmedabad.

 The BCCI on Thursday released the schedule for Team India’s 2024-25 home season. India will host Bangladesh in a two-match Test series followed by a three-match T20I series.
