Jogulamba Gadwal, Telangana: Congress leader and Minister Jupalli Krishna Rao met Gadwal MLA Bandla Krishnamohan Reddy, who recently made his way back to the BRS, in an effort to pacify him and give him assurances.
In a breakfast meeting at Krishnamohan Reddy’s home in Gadwal, the Congress leader discussed the move, Tv9 telugu reported.
Speaking to the media, Krishna Rao said, “MLA Bandla Krishnamohan Reddy’s party has not changed. He is with us. I came here to find out what is happening in the background of news being reported. He met TRS people as usual in the assembly corridor as they are old friends.”
On July 30, Krishnamohan Reddy met BRS working president KT Rama Rao at the legislature party office in Telangana Assembly and made his way back to the party, reports said.
Opposition from Congress cadre:
Krishnamohan Reddy returned to BRS after feeling the heat from the cadre and a strong opposition to him by the workers of the party. “The Congress cadre has been fighting against him for the last 10 years. How is it possible to accept him into the party? The cadre would be guided by him and it was not acceptable to them,” Congress leader G Niranjan was quoted as saying.
Meanwhile, CM Revanth Reddy on Wednesday met all the new MLAs who recently joined Congress from the BRS. Arikapudi Gandhi, Prakash Goud, Goodem Mahipal Reddy, Kadiam Srihari, attended this meeting which was held till midnight.
Revanth Reddy reportedly assured the MLAs that they will have a better future in the Congress and everyone will be given priority.
