Diwali 2024: Here’s how much India raised in 1 year from from 82 IPOs

New Delhi: Samvat 2080 IPO season has been truly rewarding for companies and investors alike with nearly Rs 1 trillion worth of funds having been raised by companies so far in the calendar year 2024. nearly 82 companies tried their luck with listing on the markets. In the process, they received bids over Rs 1 trillion. From Hyundai Motor India’s over Rs 27,000 crore IPO, valued as India’s largest till date to Bajaj Housing Finance, investors have lapped up public issues with an eye on value creation despite FII exits.

Key IPOs in 2024

Bajaj Housing Finance stood out for its record subscription numbers with bids worth Rs 3.2 trillion having been received for an issue size of Rs 6,560 crore. Over 9 million investors applied for the IPO, outpacing the flurry that accompanied the Tata Tech IPO in the previous year, the Financial Express reported.
