New Delhi: Australian fast bowler Mitchell Starc dismissed England’s captain Harry Brook with a peach of a delivery in the second ODI at Headingley in Leeds. Chasing the target of 271 runs, England got off to a poor start as Hazlewood removed Phil Salt on 12 runs in the fourth over. In the next over, Mitchell Starc dismissed Will Jacks on a duck.
Starc picked up his second wicket of the match by removing Harry Brook. He bowled an in-swinging yorker and Brook was pinned in the crease. The England skipper failed to get his bat down on time and the ball hit his back pad in front of the leg stump and he was dismissed on 4 runs.

All-rounder Aaron Hardie removed in-form Liam Livingstone on a duck but Jamie Smith along with Bethell stitched a 55-run partnership. Glenn Maxwell broke their partnership and dismissed Bethel for 25 runs. Adam Zampa picked up his first wicket by removing Carse for 26 runs. Australia defeated England by 68 runs in the second ODI. England’s batting line-up crumbled against Australia’s sensational bowling as the visitors go 2-0 up in the five-match ODI series.

Earlier, Australia got off to a good start as openers Travis Head and Matthew Short managed to score 41 runs in the first 8 overs. Carse dismissed in-form batter Head on 29 runs and provided the hosts their first breakthrough. Matthew Potts picked up two wickets and dismissed Short (29) and Steve Smith (6).
Marnus Labuschagne along with Mitchell Marsh stitched a crucial 56-run partnership for the fourth wicket but Bethell removed both batters and put Australia in more trouble. Hardie and Alex Carey stitched another fifty-run partnership for the visitors. But Carse ended their partnership and removed Hardie on 23 runs. Alex Carey scored a crucial 74 runs off 67 balls and helped Australia to post a good total on the scoreboard.
