New Delhi: UFC’s next flagship event UFC 308 will be taking place in Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates on October 27, Sunday. Before the event press conference of UFC 308 pay-per-view took place in Abu Dhabi on October 24, Thursday. During the press conference, UFC president Dana White did something crazy that no one had ever thought of.
In the press conference, a fan’s Q&A session was taking place, a fan stood up between the Q&A and said he is an amateur fighter and wants to earn a spot in the UFC. He also stated that he is 9-0 in his amateur career.
The boy is from Tajikistan and is competing in the Lightweight division and is only 25 years age. He also said that he had no manager and handled everything on his own in his combat sports career. That’s why he is using this unique approach to White at the press conference.

In reply, White asked the boy “Where were you during the Contender series? The Contender Series just ended, where were you?” White then invited the boy onto the stage and told staff members to have a word with the young boy.
Dana White’s Contender series is a tournament where amateur fighters get the opportunity to showcase their talent on a big stage and then with great performances join UFC later on. The last edition of the Dana White contender series just completed on October 15. The most famous alumni of Dana White contender series is Former Bantamweight champion Sean 0’Malley.
The young fan might be featured in the next season of the Dana White contender series. If he gets the opportunity and utilises his opportunity then it will be a unique way of kickstarting his UFC career.
