New Delhi: Jasprit Bumrah is celebrating his 31st birthday today, December 6. He is one of the greatest fast bowlers India has ever produced. The right-arm fast bowler is famous for his unorthodox sling-arm action. He made his white-ball debut during the Australia tour in 2016 and after two years, he got selected in the Test squad against South Africa.
He didn’t take much time to establish himself as an all-format pacer. Bumrah is currently the No. 1 Test bowler in the ICC rankings and he also played a crucial role in India’s second T20 World Cup title win earlier this year. He took 15 wickets at an economy rate of 4.17 and was named as the Player of the tournament.
His great leadership qualities have impressed fans and cricket experts. Under his captaincy, India defeated Australia by 295 runs in the first Test match of the ongoing Border Gavaskar Trophy in Perth. Bumrah delivered a sensational performance and took eight wickets in the match.
