Hyderabad: Three engineering students were killed in a car crash near Outer Ring Road in Dundigal on Friday evening and police suspect it happened due to speeding, tv9 telugu reported.
The car crashed into a tanker and three students in the car Akula Akshay, Hari, Ashwith were killed on the spot and two students – Naveen and Jashwanth, sustained grievous injuries and were admitted to a private hospital in Medchal.
Dundigal police said that they are not sure if the three students were drunk. The students were reportedly going towards Bowrampet, in a Skoda Rapid when Akshay, who was at the wheel lost control of the vehicle and veered off right and crashed into a chemical tanker coming from the opposite direction.
Police said that the students were staying at a hostel in Bachupally. This accident is suspected to be due to over speeding, a case has been registered and investigation is underway, Dundigal police said.
