New Delhi: UFC 305 is all set to get off in RAC Arena, Perth, Australia on August 18, Sunday. Before the event a fiery press conference was held where UFC middleweight Champion Dricus Du Plessis and Israel Adesanya confronted the fans in Australia. Adesanya broke down in tears at the conference by telling his childhood struggles, it all started with Du Plessis claiming himself as the first ‘real’ African Champion.
Adesanya claimed earlier he was the first African Champion, Adesanya was born in Nigeria but when he was 10 he moved to New Zealand. Reporters asked if he wins the title again will he take that belt to Nigeria?
‘The last Stylebender’ generously answered he would take the belt first to Nigeria on Tuesday, then on Friday he would head to South Africa and then he would be back in New Zealand. Du Plessis was mocking Adesanya ‘When you are going back, will you take the servants with you’.
Then Adesanya said ” Listen, my father and myself had to wake up at 4 am and clean the banks while my mum studied to be a nurse. You don’t know my f***ing story. Don’t f***ing speak of my story if you don’t know my story. I will show you who you are on Sunday so right now, shut the f**k up”.
Adesanya was also emotional in Perth because he made his UFC debut in UFC 221 which was also held in Perth and now Adesanya has come back after a year he will be looking to replicate his debut moments. Du Plessis also fired at Adesanya that he was ready to die and would take Adesanya’s life to win the fight and defend his title.
Du Plessis also make Sean Strickland cry same as Adesanya
When Du Plessis was set to fight against Strickland at UFC 297, In the press conference Du Plessis reminded him about his childhood abuse, he said that ‘he would do the same with Strickland what his father did to him in his childhood. Strickland immediately lashed out at Du Plessis but in Theo Von’s podcast, Strickland broke down by telling his childhood trauma.
