Chennai: Actor- politician Kamal Haasan who visited patients treated for consuming poisonous liquor in Tamil Nadu’s Kallakurichi, urged the government to create psychiatric centres for counselling for the victims.
“We cannot tell alcoholics not to drink or not to drink. I can do one thing, advise drinking in moderation. Instead of telling people not to drink, they should psychologically emphasize and create awareness by telling them to drink in moderation. Counseling centers should be set up near liquor shops,” Kamal Haasan said.
