Kochi: In a life-changing moment for Vishwambharan a security guard who earlier served as a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan, emerged as a winner of the Kerala Vishu Bumper 2024 Lottery. He bagged the first prize of Rs 12 crore.
‘Winning first prize was a huge surprise’
After winning the first prize, Vishwambharan, a native of Pazhaveedu in the state’s Alappuzha district, said winning the lottery was a huge surprise for him and that he had learned about the win last night. Talking about the moment when he won the top prize, the former CRPF personnel said he immediately checked his ticket number after hearing the news. However, at the beginning, the man could not believe that he had won the first prize in the lottery.
Expressing his happiness, Vishwambharan said he can now fulfill his dreams with the money he won from the lottery. Notably, the man used to buy lottery quite regularly and had been buying the same for the last five years.

He has been buying lottery tickets for the last five years. Sharing further details, Vishwambharan said he spends more than Rs 500 every month for these tickets. While he used to buy nearly 20 tickets every month, this time he bought two bumper tickets.
When asked what he is planning to do with this money, Vishwabharan, while displaying his ticket number, said he is planning to build a home with the prize money.
