New Delhi: Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has committed his long-term future to the club by signing a new three-year contract extension. The Spaniard, who took over in December 2019 after Unai Emery’s departure has rejuvenated the Gunners leading them to consecutive second-place finishes in the Premier League.
This extension is a strong statement from the Arsenal hierarchy, reaffirming their belief that Arteta is the man to bring the Premier League trophy back to the Emirates. The 42-year-old has been a driving force behind Arsenal’s resurgence, instilling a winning mentality and developing a talented young squad.

However, the 42-year-old is trying to lead the London team to their first top-flight championship since 2003–04, as they have placed second to Manchester City in the Premier League the last two seasons.
Arsenal is now in fourth place after three games this season. They won their opening two games against Wolves and Aston Villa before Brighton held them to a tie.

Arteta has been a reckoning force in Arsenal’s revival and has built a team that has come close twice to winning the Premier League title.
