The former India captain continues to enjoy massive popularity despite having retired from international cricket four years back and is one of the most loved celebrities in the country.
Dhoni’s humble side once again left the fans in awe as the former India captain was spotted enjoying the ‘Pahadi’ dance with his wife Sakshi on his recent visit to Rishikesh. Dhoni was born and brought up and Ranchi but has Pahadi roots as his parents hail from Uttarakhand’s Almora. His wife Sakshi also hails from Uttarakhand.
In the video that has gone viral on social media, Dhoni can be seen performing the traditional Garhwali dance with his wife Sakshi and others in what appears to be the backdrop of their hotel in Rishikesh. The video has struck a chord among cricket fans, who were left endeared by Dhoni embracing his traditional culture and having fun during the dance.

MS Dhoni to play for CSK in IPL 2025
Dhoni is all set to continue playing for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 next year after being retained by the franchise. CSK retained their former captain as an uncapped player for Rs 4 crore to ensure their overall purse was not hurt too much. Despite being 42, Dhoni remains a vital cog in the CSK line-up considering he is still the leader of the side.
Dhoni played with an injury for CSK during IPL 2024 but is expected to return fully fit for the new season next year. He will continue to keep wickets for the team and will be a guiding force on the pitch for CSK skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad, who will be into his second season as captain in the IPL.
Dhoni batted mostly below no.6 for CSK during IPL 2024 but played some vital cameos for the team and finished with 161 runs from 14 matches at a strike rate of over 220, including 13 sixes.
