New Delhi: News9’s pioneering Indian Tigers & Tigresses initiative found its way in Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir, conquering yet another milepost in its journey to discover and train young footballers across the country. This pan-India initiative, aimed to search and nurture young footballing talents of the country, received a great response from its camp as the final regional trials concluded. The participants who have qualified for the next round will take part in a two-day camp in Delhi, March 8th and 9th, 2025.
The trials took place at the prestigious TR Turf in City Center, where a large crowd of enthusiastic young participants gathered. Boys and girls from all corners of the Kashmir valley made their way to the event, reflecting the passion and love for the sport. The participants were divided into the categories of 12-14 and 15-17 age groups.
The trials were an intense display of skill, agility, and determination to grab this once in a lifetime opportunity in their footballing career. The event also saw parents turn up to support their wards and encourage their passion for the game. The platform will provide a selected few a chance to train with the best in the field from Austria.
The excitement was visible as participants gave their everything into each shot, dribble and pass during the trials. The Srinagar leg wraps the regional trials and comes after a huge success across Indian cities, including Delhi, Ludhiana, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Palakkad, Ahmedabad and Kolkata.
