Manchester United had just one win coming into the game but had a good record against Leicester City. With a change in leadership showcasing on the pitch, United got off to an early lead in the 17th minute when Bruno Fernandes received a backheel from Amad Diallo. Fernandes made his shot in the bottom-left corner.

Just as the first half was nearing the end, Fernandes almost headed his second goal with Noussair Mazraoui’s cross from the left flank, but failing to connect well, the ball rebounds from Victor Kristiansen’s for United’s second goal. During the second half, United’s main aim was to not let the lead slip away. Alejandro Garnacho scored United’s third goal, with a 20-yard strike with a good assist from Fernandes.
