New Delhi: Veteran Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan set the stage on fire with his dance moves at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding in Mumbai on Friday. Dhawan was among the prominent Indian cricketers who attended the wedding festivities and was seen enjoying the celebrations by showcasing his uber-cool bhangra steps.
The out-of-favour Indian batter is no more in the scheme of things as far as the Indian team is concerned but Dhawan continues to play in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and is yet to announce his retirement from international cricket. Known as Mr ICC for his incredible consistency in ICC tournaments, Dhawan last played for India in an ODI against Bangladesh in December 2022.
In a video that surfaced on social media, Dhawan can be seen shaking a leg with Bollywood actress Ananya Pandey and actor Ranveer Singh. Another Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor was also spotted joining Dhawan in his bhangra on the stage. Dhawan’s dance moves impressed fans, who were happy to see the cricketer make a public appearance after a long time.

Apart from Dhawan, the likes of MS Dhoni, Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, Suryakumar Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal among others were the prominent Indian cricketers who attended the lavish wedding function in Mumbai. Several international artists graced the event and performed for the guests who were present at the wedding ceremony.

Hardik was spotted dancing with Bollywood actress Ananya Pandey during the celebrations. Hardik attended the ceremony with his brother Krunal and teammate Kishan amid divorce rumours with his wife Natasa Stankovic. The couple’s continued absence from public forums together has added further fuel to rumours of their separation.
Hardik will return to action when the Indian team takes on Sri Lanka in the upcoming three-match T20I series which gets underway from July 26. Hardik is likely to captain the Indian team in T20Is following Rohit Sharma’s retirement from the shortest format.
